Quick Start Tutorial

1) Click on one of the topics on the window on the left-hand side of the screen where you see the topic names like 'Basic Grammar Terms', 'Pronunciation', 'Basic Vocabulary', etc. listed.

2) Read the explanation of the topic in the window on the right, and when you think you have understood it, try doing the exercises that go along with it by clicking on the 'Exercise for this topic' button. Remember that not all of the topics have a corresponding exercise. The button will look grayish if this is the case.

3) We highly recommend that you go through all of the exercises in sequence and get a reasonable score on them before going on to the next one.

Keep the following points in mind when doing the exercises:

a) Remember to fill in the full form of the subject and verb in English: for example, type in 'I am' and 'you are' instead of 'I'm' and 'you're'. These last two will be counted as incorrect.

b) Remember to pay attention to the special instructions that will appear just above the answer space. Sometimes those instructions are necessary in order to know how to answer the question correctly. This is especially important when you have to translate 'you' from English to Spanish, since 'you' can be 'tú', 'usted', 'vosotros' or 'ustedes'.

4) You can change the program colors, the sounds you hear after answering questions, and other things by clicking of the Options button on the main screen.
