Dictionaries

The dictionary supplied with the program will let you look up basic words. Please note that in order to minimize the download size, only the root word is included. That means that you will find 'tree' = 'árbol' but looking for 'trees' may give you a 'not found' message.

You can use the personal dictionary to add any words that you find useful. When you use the dictionary, first it looks in the word list supplied with the program and then in the personal dictionary.

If you want to edit the personal dictionary Go to Tools -> Edit personal dictionary. This allows you to delete entries if you make a mistake when adding them. It also allows you to add a large list of words at one time.

You can use any word processor in order to modify the list. But remember that the structure MUST be the following:

English word
Spanish word
English word
Spanish word

with NO empty lines between entries or at the end of the file. If you don't follow this structure, the program will either give you an error message, or the dictionary will not work properly.
