Q: What countries is this program good for?

A: Care has been taken to choose speakers who don't have a strong regional accent. Their speech style would be understood in any Spanish speaking country.

Q: But aren't there different words for different things in different countries?

A: Some words - especially food items - can be different. We've made an effort to choose words that will be understood anywhere even though the locals may say it differently on a day to day basis. Learning these differences is one of the exciting things about traveling in different countries.

Q: Where are the speakers in the program from?

A: From several Latin American countries and Spain. As stated above, we've tried to include accents which could be considered 'standard' in the Spanish language.

Q: I want to take the program with me when I travel...

A: You can copy the program to a USB drive (memory stick) and it will work. To do so, you will need to know how to find and copy files using Windows Explorer after Travel Spanish is installed on your computer. The only thing you need to do is copy the entire Travel Spanish Pro folder onto your USB drive. If you don't know how to do this, please consult either Windows Help or get a knowledgeable friend to help you. Copying files and other system management tasks are outside the scope of the Travel Spanish program whose purpose is to help you with your Spanish.

Q: Will I really learn Spanish with this program?

A: You will learn words and phrases that will help you get by and make your stay in other countries much more enjoyable. If you are interested in learning Spanish in depth, please look at our StartSpanish and Spanish Whiz programs.
